NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Planning Commission of the City of Moorpark, California, on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., at the Moorpark City Hall, located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California, 93021, to consider the application described below.

          NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Community Development Director has determined that this proposal qualifies for a General Rule Exemption in accordance with Section 15061 of California Code of Regulations (CEQA Guidelines).  No further environmental documentation is required.

Proposal: Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 2018-01: an Amendment to Chapter 17.20 (Uses by Zone) and Chapter 17.28 (Standards for Specific Uses) of Title 17 (Zoning) of the Moorpark Municipal Code to address the operation of residential short term rental units.

The proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment may be reviewed at the Community Development Department, City Hall, 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, CA 93021 during normal business hours.

Any person affected by the proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment may appear and be heard in support or opposition to the proposals at the time of the hearing.

The Planning Commission in their deliberation could recommend to the City Council approval, denial, or approval of the Zoning Ordinance Amendment in an alternative form.  If you challenge the proposal in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the Public Hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Community Development Department at, or prior to, the Public Hearing.
