COVID-19: Information for Residents
The City of Moorpark has compiled and is updating resources to assist Moorpark Resident’s during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please view the current information here: "Information for Residents".
COVID-19 Eviction Moratorium
The City of Moorpark has extended its moratorium on evictions of both residential and commercial tenants due to nonpayment of rent caused by COVID-19 through at least June 30. Additional information can be viewed here: "City Extends Eviction Moratorium".
Area Housing Authority of the County of Ventura
Section 8 or Housing Choice Voucher Program, is a federally funded housing assistance program that is managed by local public housing authorities. Section 8 housing in Moorpark is managed by the Area Housing Authority of the County of Ventura (AHA). The AHA also owns and manages several units, which are designated for low income or elderly/disabled households.

Affordable Rental Properties
There are currently five apartment complexes in Moorpark that offer a limited number of rent-restricted units for low income persons and seniors. For more information: "Affordable Rental Properties".
Housing Rights Center
The City of Moorpark contracts with the Housing Rights Center (HRC) to provide landlord and tenant counseling regarding their rights and responsibilities, including questions about security deposits, evictions, repairs, rent Increases, harassment and more. HRC also offers discrimination investigation and fair housing education and outreach.
