The Moorpark City Council is now accepting applications from appointment to the Moorpark Parks and Recreation Commission. The appointment is for five members to serve a two-year term to expire December 2024.
Applicants must be a resident of the City of Moorpark and registered to vote in Moorpark. The Parks and Recreation Commission reviews matters pertaining to the City's parks and public recreation, and advises the City Council on the administration and development of recreational areas, facilities, programs, and improved recreational services. The Parks and Recreation Commission meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
All applicants will be required to attend a regular City Council meeting on December 21, 2022, or one other meeting, as yet to be determined, to make a brief presentation (not to exceed three minutes) on qualifications and interest in the appointment. Use of a PowerPoint presentation will be permitted if the City Clerk has been provided with the file no less than 24 hours prior to the meeting. Failure to make a presentation shall result in disqualification for appointment.
