The Moorpark City Library will accept donations on Saturdays, May 8 & 29, from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Please call the Library at 805-517-6370 when you are in the parking lot and a staff member will come out to assist you.

Due to limitations on space, only 1 (one) small box or 2 (two) grocery size bags will be accepted per household. Please review our guidelines for donating items below. 

Items Accepted:

  • Hardcover and paperback - fiction and nonfiction
  • Children's Books - all kinds
  • Reference books - AGE MATTERS!
  • Travel Guides must be less than 2 years old
  • Computer software, test prep, college guides, self-help, health/medical books must be less than 3 years old
  • Parenting guides, education guides, business/law books, general reference books must be less than 5 years old

Items NOT Accepted:

  • Books in poor condition due to broken bindings, missing pages, soiled, musty, moldy, with smoke or water damage, or with excessive writing in the text
  • Textbooks and encyclopedias
  • Magazines

The Moorpark City Library benefits from your donation whether the books are added to the collection or sold to help raise funds for library services.
