Teen Programs

The Moorpark Recreation Division offers a wide variety of programs, classes, and events for teens ranging from 6th grade through 12th grade.

All of our programs are fully staffed and supervised by trained, professional staff who provide a safe, and fun environment for this wide age range.

Teen Volunteers:

The Moorpark Recreation Division has many opportunities for youth to earn volunteer hours throughout the year that the MUSD will accept for its 40 hours of community service requirements.

Once we have an annual Volunteer Form on file, you may register for volunteer days in person at the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center, or over the phone by calling (805) 517-6300.

  • Teen Cupcake Challenge: Friday, August 28th from 6:30-9:00 p.m. @ Arroyo Vista Recreation Center

  • Moorpark Youth Running Club - We will train to reach a goal of running 26.2 miles!
    • Tues. & Thurs., 7/21-8/27 - $15
  • Guitar, Ukulele, or Mandolin - Learn to play simple melodies and chords!
    • Saturdays, 7/11-8/8 - $60
    • Tuesdays, 7/21-8/18 - $60
  • Tennis Classes - Work on grip, swing, footwork, and more!
    • Mondays, 7/6-8/24 - $130
  • Horseback Riding Lessons - Learn to ride English or Western style!
    • Saturdays, 7/4-7/25 - $190
    • Saturdays, 8/1-8/22 - $190

Adventure Camp

Adventure Camp is a day camp offered to youth ages 9-14, who take trips to local hang-outs, theme parks, malls, and more!  For more information on Adventure Camp, please click here!
