The City of Moorpark responds to requests for public records pursuant to the California Public Records Act (Gov. Code §7920.000 et seq.).
The City Clerk's Division maintains a publicly available, searchable Public Records Archive containing City ordinances, resolutions, minutes, and staff reports. Records are available for the City Council, Planning Commission, Arts Commission, Library Board, Parks and Recreation Commission, Teen Council, and other historical boards and commissions.
The City of Moorpark utilizes NextRequest to accept and process public records requests. NextRequest allows requesters to create an account and log in to view their requests, messages, and any records that have been released.
To submit a public records request, click the link below. Creating an account is not required; however, it is highly recommended, as it allows you to track the status of your request, communicate directly with City staff, and access released records in one convenient location.
For assistance using NextRequest, please contact NextRequest Support at support@nextrequest.com.
Please note: The City of Moorpark does not respond to questions or general requests for information through the Public Records Request process. The Public Records Request process is intended solely for requesting existing public records.
General questions or inquiries may be submitted by email to moorpark@moorparkca.gov or by calling 805-517-6200.

Building plans are subject to copyright law and may not be duplicated without first obtaining permission from the property owner and any certified, licensed, or registered professionals (or their successors, if applicable) who signed the original documents, unless duplication is authorized by a court order.
If plans are available and you wish to obtain copies, you will first need to review the plans at City Hall to confirm that they are the records you are seeking. Once all required paperwork has been submitted, the City will send certified letters to the applicable parties requesting permission to duplicate the requested drawings. This process may take up to 60 days.
